Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation SPF 15

Hello Beauty Friends!

I have yet another Bobbi Brown love and discovery to share with you today.  Bobbi is one of my favourite brands - and I can always count on these products to be compatible with my skin and to last really well.  I have two of the shimmer bricks - her most famous product.  And I have used my Brightening Finishing Powder right down to the corners.  I need to buy a replacement!

$56 Cdn at Sephora

I am ALWAYS hunting for that "perfect" foundation - and perfect seems to change frequently.  My skin is a bit darker since my Mexico vacation so none of my usual foundations have been working for me.

I did the Colour IQ match at Sephora a few weeks ago (a BRILLIANT thing - if you haven't tried it - visit Sephora - it is genius).  Those girls are so great at helping you to pick a foundation - truly.  It gave me a 2Y06.  I was a 1Y06 a couple of months ago.  I love that you can save these to your profile and compare them later on.  A great system.

So this foundation popped up for me - which wasn't one I was considering.  They kindly gave me a 2 week supply - and I used it completely.  So obviously I went back to buy a bottle.  Who wouldn't love that option?  2 weeks gives you enough time to see if you like the product.  I love this!  I wish Shoppers Drug Mart did the same - because I'd really like to try the Clarins foundation.

I've since heard lots of people rave about Bobbi's Skin Foundation.  It is a light to medium coverage.  At the moment my skin is having some issues and I really prefer a full coverage.  I think I'll try this one in the summer though.  It sounds lovely.

The Long Wear is a medium to full coverage.  It is water resistant and transfer proof - which I love!  No one likes foundation stains on their collars or jackets - ick.  Most importantly it covers my blemishes and discolourations.

This feels lovely on the skin.  It doesn't clog my pores or feel heavy.  It doesn't look heavy or cakey.  It doesn't crease and it lasts wonderfully all day at work.

Here you can see me wearing the foundation.  I'm also wearing NARS Light Reflecting Setting Powder which has been my setting powder of choice for a few months.  I'm wearing my new absolute favourite blush - the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Luminous Flush.  I know the reviews are mixed on this product - but I honestly love it.  I swatched them in store and I didn't love the sparkles in some of the other colours.  I didn't expect to love this particular colour as it looked too dark online - but in person I loved it.  It is truly like no other blush I've used before.  It is a wonderful product!  And on my lips is the Bobbi Brown Art Stick that I reviewed yesterday.

  2. Sarah hi. I've never used any Bobbi Brown. Hugely popular here in the UK (like elsewhere) so I really should try something in the line. It's a great review and you've nudged me to act and get down to my local Fenwick store, who sell it here. I sooo wish Sephora would return to the UK high street though. Yes such an amazing store.
